In spirit of a well-known Biblical principle we donate 10% of the proceeds of Diktuon to charity and good causes. We are currently supporting a project which is appropriate to both the name and meaning of Diktuon:

Fishing culture in KENYA

The Nyamokonga-women group is one of the 58 local divisions of the Young Women's Christian Association (YWCA) of Kenya, the Christian womens' society.

screen snapshot"The price of meat has risen so much that we can no longer afford it. One kilo of meat now costs 120 shilling (about 2 Euro), while 1 kilo of fish costs 50 shillings. Because we live too far from a market, we have decided to dig a fish pond." Speaking is Victorine, one of the members of the Nyamokonga-women group in the Kisii-district in West-Kenya. The fishing culture doesn't just have a positive influence in terms of feeding the families on a daily basis, it also generates extra income for the villagers. This is used to set up other projects, to help each other and pay school fees.

Diktuon supports this project via Kerk In Actie and World YWCA.
